The leaders program is an ideal program for young people (aged 12 to 16) to become involved in making a contribution to the pool community while having a fun summer. 

It is designed to encourage responsibility, teach leadership skills and enjoy a sense of camaraderie all while having a fun summer.

 

Requirements and Responsibilities:

Leaders must be 12 years old (as of Sept 30, 2010)

Leaders must be willing to assist lifeguards as required

Leaders will assist lifeguards during swimming lessons and Guppies

Leaders will participate and assist in organising fundraisers

Leaders will be assigned to canteen duty

Leaders will also participate in gate duty, greeting members and other clients

Leaders will also babysit during aquafit/yoga.

While these may seem like a lot of responsibilities, rest assured that leaders may choose the duties they feel would suit them best and the shifts are not endless.  It’s important that you all have fun while taking on these new responsibilities.  We encourage as many kids as possible to sign up as leaders.  The more leaders there are the more enjoyable it will be for all.  In addition, the leaders will participate in several exciting activities.
