As members of the North Shore Aquatic Association, Westminster Pool fields teams in the following disciplines. Our aim is to get kids to participate in a team atmosphere, something they may not have had the opportunity to do, where they can work on the discipline itself, as well as their confidence and teamwork. We are especially proud of all our kids who take the time to compete for WES.
Swimming
WES has an amazing tradition in swimming, as our 14 NAA championships would attest. WES competes in the "A" Division for swimming.
Boys & Girls 8 and under Boys & Girls 9 and 10
Boys & Girls 11 and 12 Boys & Girls 13 and 14
Boys & Girls Open 15 +
Meets are held each Wednesday during the summer
Diving
WES offers both diving lessons as well as diving teams. We have dive teams entered in Junior, Intermediate, as well as Senior categories.
Meets take place on Tuesday evenings
Synchro
Our pool would not be the same without the clanging, pumping music, the 5, 6, 7, 8's, and the waving of arms and legs of our girls synchro teams. This year WES fields teams in Pre-Junior, and Junior categories, as well as Single and Duet Teams. Often misunderstood, take a sec and watch our girls run through these exhausting routines.
Competitions are held near the end of the season
Water Polo
WES currently fields teams in both girls and boys 14 & Under, as well as girls and boys 16 & Under Team. Games are usually played on Monday nights. Note that when we host, the shallow end of pool remains open for swimming.
If you haven't signed up for one of our teams, it's never too late!!!
Leaders
Westminster pool offers a leader’s program to young people between the ages of 12 and 16. The leaders program is an ideal way for young people to become involved in supporting the pool’s activities while enjoying a fun filled summer. Being a leader can be the first step towards becoming a lifeguard. The program provides an opportunity to develop a spirit of volunteerism, camaraderie and responsibility. The leaders are involved in various tasks at the pool for which they are responsible as well as participating in fundraising and fun activities provided solely for them.
