Food Service and Camp Liaison

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented Food Service Attendant and Day Camp liaison to join our team. As a Food Service Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional service and providing food and beverage options to our guests.  As the Day Camp liaison, you will ensure the children from the camp who choose to participate in lessons are in attendance and that they safely get back to the day camp.

Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Service:

    • Greet and interact with pool guests in a friendly and professional manner.

    • Take orders accurately and efficiently and answering customer inquiries about the menu items.

    • Ensure prompt service and timely delivery of food and beverages to customers.

    • Handle customer concerns and complaints promptly and professionally, seeking assistance from a supervisor when necessary.

  2. Food Preparation and Presentation:

    • Prepare and serve a variety of food and beverage items, including snacks, sandwiches, drinks, and other refreshments.

    • Ensure all food items are fresh, properly stored, and prepared following health and safety guidelines..

    • Follow established recipes and ensure proper food handling, labeling, and rotation procedures.

    • Monitor food inventory levels and communicate with the supervisor for timely replenishment.

  3. Cleanliness and Sanitation:

    • Maintain a clean and organized food service area, including tables, counters, condiment stations, and equipment.

    • Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper hand hygiene, glove usage, and food temperature control.

    • Regularly clean and sanitize all food contact surfaces, utensils, and equipment.

    • Empty trash containers, ensure waste disposal adheres to proper guidelines, and maintain a clean and tidy dining environment.

    • Conduct routine inspections to identify any safety hazards or maintenance needs and report them to the supervisor.

  4. Cash Handling and Record-Keeping:

    • Accurately process cash, credit card, and other forms of payment using a point-of-sale system.

    • Maintain an organized cash register and ensure correct change is given to customers.

    • Keep detailed records of daily sales, inventory, and customer transactions.

    • Reconcile cash register at the end of each shift and report any discrepancies to the supervisor.

  5. Day Camp Liaison:

    • Interface with Day camp coordinator and lifeguards.

    • Ensure daily list of attendees is maintained.

    • Ensure day camp attendees return back to camp in a timely fashion.

 

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a food service or customer service role is preferred.

  • Basic knowledge of food preparation and handling techniques.
